Vania Zouravliov, fragile decadence
Vania Zouravliov is a Russian artist now in London, who's illustrations show a fancy post-century style decadent world with vivisections, skulls, and flowery artwork. The models are usually half naked and calmly posed at an obtuse angle. Light influences of Ingres, Gustav Dore, Matthias Grünewald, Von Bayros, Beardsley, Disney, and Japanese comic illustration can be detected. Excellent psychedelic artwork.
